Maybe this little animal did not belong in that forest or perhaps should not be there at all. How had one so young reached such isolation. Could someone have left it there. The idea of abandonment grew. He felt compelled to correct a possible wrong.
This thought strengthened his resolve to guard the vulnerable creature.
