To ensure the maintenance and readiness of its fleet, Norfolk Naval Base features eight shipbuilding and repair facilities. These include seven floating docks capable of handling extensive repairs and upgrades for the Navy's vessels.
Currently, 75 military warships are stationed at Norfolk. However, it is important to note that not all of these vessels are docked at the base simultaneously, as many are deployed on missions around the globe.
