5. Kangal
The Kangal is a giant mastiff breed strong enough to fend off predators like wolves and bears. This large shepherd dog comes from Turkestan. Depending on upbringing and environment, this breed can be a family’s best friend or worst nightmare. Kangals are protective but are usually gentle if calm. Their bite force is said to reach up to 743 psi, and they will defend themselves if they sense danger.
