Jack decided to adopt a Tibetan Mastiff, attracted by its size and impressive look. He loved big dogs, but nothing prepared him for just how large his new companion would be. Carrying the dog home, Jack realized the full scale of the gentle giant. Standing on its hind legs, Goliath, as he named him, was nearly as tall as Jack.
Struggling with the dog’s weight, Jack managed to pick up Goliath like a puppy. The sight was both funny and endearing: a grown man barely able to hold a dog that looked more like a bear.
People stopped to watch and take photos. Children laughed, adults stared in disbelief. Jack joked about his “little heavy” friend, his face red from effort but his eyes shining with happiness.
Despite the challenges—finding a bed big enough or feeding such a large dog—Jack was thrilled. Walking with Goliath, Jack knew life would be full of surprises and laughter. Each day, he grew more attached to his gentle giant, imagining all the adventures and memories they would share.
